    GI Joe what if ...

What if Kenner's 3 3/4" format failed and 8" ruled the action figure landscape. Then in 1982 Mego purchases the failed Hasbro GI Joe franchise and decides to revive the Joe action figure line with ...

Now I'm sure this has been done before and is hardly original but the 1982 GI Joe's were my last "toys". My favorites were Rock n' Roll and Clutch. In fact it was Clutch, the Vamp and I that were confronted by that rude little girl that said "Are you not to ooolllldddd for toys?"

So I wanted to throw something together for old time's sake. Version 1.0 has a flocked shrunken 12" Joe head on an Action Jackson outfit and body I had. Version 2.0 I hope the make the uniform a little more 80's Joe like and a little less 60's Joe like.

    Cheers

Yep, I wouldnt dare mention I played with toys when I was in grade 6 and up. I would have never heard the end of it. When I was grade 11 or 12 I heard two eight graders talking about playing with Joes and it made me smile. They had no shame in talking about which figures they had or played with. It was pretty cool. The figure looks great, Marty! I cant remember who was my favorite Joe as time went on but Snake-Eyes was initially my favorite.

That looks awesome! I was a little too young for the '60's Joes and got some when I "grew up". I played with the 3 3/4 Joes when I was a kid. Breaker was my first one. I got that with the motorcycle that had that big ol' canon on the side. I love the flocking on there. It's a great mix of older and newer Joes. Good job.
