Awesome job on all three but, especially on Norrin Radd. The hat of this huge Silver Surfer fan is off to you.

Thanks Chuck, I'm so happy I can finally express all my thoughts and ideas in a 3 dimensional realm now. The printer and scanner has certainly helped a ton. I'm getting to the point where I DON'T want to rely on them so much. It's hard to say, but, I want to make customs "the old fashion way". I think doing it without the scanner or printer would be just as much fun. I have mad props for every single customizer here for that matter. I'm simply using the tools that are at my disposal in this day and age.

That's what I was going for. With such a beautiful face like that, he photographs very well. This inspires me to take some more shots of him in a more "comic book" look. Ill do some photo editing and try to make it look like he just came from a comic panel. I'll also take some shots of him without his hat. For me, the hair is what sells the figure to me.

And thanks everyone else for the kind words! Such an awesome community here!

They all came out really nice. Really love the bodysuit on the Silver Surfer. But I gotta say... the photos of The Question have such dramatic flair, like he just escaped from the pages of the comics.

    started a topic Weekend Customs

    Weekend Customs

    Hello Guys and Gals.
It's been a while since i posted anything, so forgive me for being a little rusty.
I had quite the little assembly line going on this weekend and I certainly enjoyed getting back into the groove of things. Sadly, I was only able to finish 3 of the 4 figures I had planned. Ill hopefully finish the next one tomorrow. But onto the finished ones.

These three are some that I've want to make for a long time but they just kept being pushed off.

    First off is Spectre.
He's built on my custom body with sews by me excluding the trunks and shoes.
The hands are 3d printed Phantom hands that I thought worked very well for this character.
As said by T-Bolt, the barrel chest body works pretty well for this guy. Also, this was my first time sewing a hooded cape cut me some slack.

    Second, is The Question.
I know NOTHING about this guy, but he turned out pretty great. CTVT business suit with the shirt dyed orange and black tie added, CTVT shoes, CTVT Fedora with black "lining" around it, all on a Type S body with the fists spray painted blue. The head was originally a zombie head from Doc's CYOZ kit, i just sculpted over with clay and added a ball joint.

And lastly, is probably my favorite, The Silver Surfer.
This was my first time sewing a bodysuit too. He's built on my a Zica body. Not much to him but he sure was fun to make. FYI, the board was just something quick for display purposes, I'll redo that here soon, as ya'll know, the printer has been a little tied up

Enough chit chat. Here's some pics.

hope you enjoyed and thanks for looking!
    -Sean
