Custom of the Week - 4/28/14 - Ghost Rider

This week the spotlight falls on Krypt0nite's Ghost Rider. While most people go with the black leather jacket look, the CTVT jumpsuit opens up all kinds of possibilities for a take on the classic blue suit. The molded flames work perfectly with the head, giving the figure a clean, simple Mego vibe.

What a thrill to have my Ghost Rider selected as custom of the week! I would have dearly loved to have had this guy go into battle with my Megos when I was a kid. And this figure is very sturdy: a quality body from CTVT and the flame fits tight against his head, and turns right along with it. Thanks so much for enjoying it with me!

Where is the flame from?

The flame was originally part of the build-a-figure Marvel Legends Green Goblin that came with the Amazing Spider-Man 2 action figure. The movie version Electro also comes with a similar flame piece. I used a knife to hollow the flame piece out slightly to get it to fit tightly on GR's head.
