Custom of the Week - 1/20/2013 - ST Enterprise

This week the spotlight isn't really necessary, as this baby lights up on its own. A brilliant marriage between Paul Wasson acrylic, Scott C Adams Dida displays, and BARON VON GUNN vision and craftsmanship - is there a such thing as customs polygamy? If so, let's legalize it. Eight-year-old me would gladly trade my WGSH to have this to re-enact my favorite STOS PBS reruns. SUPERB!

That's the starship Megoprize. What a prize it is. The planets I could have discovered if I'd had this 'back in the day'.

Oh my God guys/gals....I can't tell you just how much that means to my brother and myself! Thank you so much for even just looking at it! We've looked for years at everything people have come up with. And it boggles the mind! Mego clearly had an impact on many people's childhoods and imaginations. And going from those kids to now , as adults with children of our own...and having the technology and resources to make....either what never got made...or just what we imagined. That is the thing that struck us. Mego is not gone. The format is not gone. Not so long as every customizer and every artisan in what ever their focus may be, just picks up the ball and runs with it! Which is what everyone here has been doing for so long! It is so gratifying just to know that others get it. Thank you so damn much for considering us. I'll have you know we've already got our designs for klingon battle cruiser playset extension...and a hybrid doomsday machine / constellation battle damaged playset...and some ideas for dc and the universal monsters. So seeing other people like it....that just doesn't get any better!!! You are all amazing and have been for years. And there's new blood all the time falling in love with Megos and the format! So no one should stop creating. Thank you guys!!! Damn !!!! Thank you!. Thank you to Scott at Dida, Paul at Lasermego...and I gotta thank EMCE for finally giving us a complete crew( well minus a few more...; )!...sorry to go on guys....but this really means alot! Thank you!!!!!!!
