Alternate FTC Batman Wave 1 Card

I'm not a fan of the card art (appropriated from the Batman '66 Style Guide art) that FTC is using for their
Mego repro line (and I know I'm not the only one). Not really sure of their reasoning but it really confuses
the issue between the repro line and the upcoming '66 TV line (especially with the Catwoman art).

So....using classic Jose Luis Garcia Lopez DC Style Guide art (he also did the '66 Style Guide) and redrawing
Catwoman to fit the repro figure...

And in a couple modern day nods to Mego, Joker still has his cane but Penguin is missing his umbrella...

In a world where Mego actually refreshed the 8" line, and didn't go out of business, THIS is what the packaging would look like. Awesome.

          Very nice!!!
Much better than what is being used.

              Very appealing--good compromise on Catwoman.

How long did she actually wear the "mod" suit--'72-76?
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

That CW suit appeared from "Batman" #210 (March '69) until #256 (May '74).
So Mego definitely caught it on the "tail" end...

lol thanks--I have a reprint--Irv Novick?--of when she switched back to the classic dress but couldn't recall the exact year.

The mod costume can look good with the right artist--she looked fetching in it in the B&B cartoon, albeit briefly. The, er... "Assertive" aspect of it can suit some depictions of Selina, too.

Catwoman went back to the earlier costume in Batman 266 (First comic I ever bought.) I am sure the artwork being used by FTC is contractual as it is the same artwork that Mattel, Mezco, NECA, Funko, and other companies are using. You can see more of the images on Zazzle.
Great card by the way. And it doesn't bother me as much as when I but Captain Marvel toys and they say Shazam, Freddie Freeman and Mary Batson.

Love it Anthony! That is the kind of art that really makes you want to own what is inside.

Can you turn these into boxes? I need Batman, Robin, Riddler and Joker.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.
