Definitely Custom Of The Week if not Custom Of The Year. Outstanding job on this. Now THAT is a playset I would buy. Some of the panels make it look 3 dimensional. The working lights and light up consoles are icing on the cake. Take a bow cause that is one AWESOME custom playset. Bravo!!

Now that I can see all of the pics, I'm speechless. This would be an awesome centerpiece to any collection.

If there was a Mego Hall of fame (MHF) for customs, this would be a ballot winner for sure,
shows a lot of hard work, dedication and time consuming project, nice work!

I don't know how portable it is, but it would be really neat if you could set it up at the next Mego-Eat so us NW Mego heads could see it in all its glory!

Thanks.....yeah Paul that really wouldn't be a problem other than just scheduling.....the unit breaks down into the header(primary hull) , the foundation base( dida floor pad with internal shelf for pull out role play console), the two studs( artistry slat walls), planetoid backer(forward red planet/ back hanger deck), tri level bridge dome( with interior micro bridge) and the two nacelles....it all stows away nicely...or fits in a trunk...so moving it is really no problem....obviously components have weight that a child would have a hard time with...but for us it's fine....

Outstanding! I love the nod to the color scheme on the Mego original. I agree, the turquoise chairs fit perfectly.

As I said over email, it's simply stunning. The saucer and 3d elements are fantastic and imaginative and perfectly executed. The art is fabulous, I like the highly saturated color scheme that feels like a tribute to the Mego style bridge while retaining accuracy. This is exactly what I hoped people would do with Didas. Im thrilled. Impressed that you went the extra mile to insert art in the tabs, did you find my video tutorial? Blue chairs are gorgeous. Bravo!

Thank you so much everybody!!! Megoscott I'm telling you, you and and everyone else here inspired us completely. We loved mego in our childhood...and in adulthood we were content in our thinking that it was a company long since dead and gone...and that no one gave them any thought. When finding the mego museum...it was amazing to realize that it wasn't forgotten. And then seeing everyone continue to give it new life. In every creation they put forward. Then to see what you did , Stately Caverns.....space command center...hall of justice....lost.....All of this reinforced the idea....that one needs only to create what they imagine....no need to lament what never was, because you can in fact bring it into being. That was an incredible change in thinking. Thank you all because you provided that foundation to start from. I hope everyone realizes the same potential. And that this community grows and thrives and can pass on these simple joys to kids of our own. But you really did crystallize the idea..just because the company ended or they never made what you dreamed for, it doesn't have to be the end.......In fact......you can take even further!!!!!
