Need some help with custom figure, question?

I am making a custom mego of the character Wyatt Earp from the tv show starring Hugh O'Brian,
the Bruce Wayne head is actually a pretty close likeness of Hugh O'Brian, but the problem is
the Wyatt Earp (Zorro) black hat issued by Mego and later Doc Mego is to big to fit on the Wayne
head, it doesn't stay on to loose and falls off.

So my question to anyone out there is, is there anyway to make the Earp style hat fit onto
the Wayne head nicely? I'm thinking maybe putting something inside around the brim to
keep it on, without it looking dumb?

Well that's the dilemma of the day, if anyone has any suggestions, or maybe knows of someone that can make a black Earp hat to specifically fit on the Bruce Wayne head please let me know, I would like it to be snug but still be able to take it off and on

Thanks for reading and I apprecate everyones time and help.

That's exactly what I would do. A little sculpey or putty would do the trick

Using the soft part of a velcro strip around the inside of the hat should work and make it removeable without having putty residue on the hat or head.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

Those are very good ideas, I actually thought of putty but thought it would
be a little messy, never thought of the velcro strip, might go that route, just need
to find velcro strip somewhere and take it from there.

Question: Is it an original Bruce Wayne head or a Doc Mego Repro? The reason I ask is that the Doc Mego head shrunk quite a bit in the China reproduction. The CTVT's one is a bit larger.

The Bruce head is from CTVT and also the hat, the hat is floppy and doesn't stay on
so I was asking if there was a way to keep it on?

I was also given the idea of dipping the hat in boiling water, so it would shrink,

Thanks again for all the suggestions, I appreciate it.

Boiling water won't shrink the hat.
