Nice take. I loved Cooke's version, and this takeoff on that is great. Loved the TV Guide with Reeves on it.

This might seem to be a silly question, but when did the Martian Manhunter start looking like that? With the heavy brow ridges that just scream "Neanderthal skull"? When I looked at Yahoo images, this new look is apparently canon nowadays.

I've been kind of behind on superhero comics for a few decades, and the Martian Manhunter I remember was a bald, very normal human-looking guy that happened to be light green. This was back in the days of Mike Sekowsky and Dick Dillin/Dick Giordano, circa 1974 in the old Justice League comics. What happened to him? How did he become so non-human-looking?

        ^^ He's not human, he's a Martian.

yeah, Cooke's interpretation of Jonn is my favorite, with the Miller Dark Knight Jonn a close second.
