Another Chris Reeve Superman (Black Night head)

I did nothing for this custom except receive it in a trade from Vinnie. The head just had a stem and no real plug so I glued it on the body. One day, I will probably transfer the head to those upcoming solid bodies. Then, I put him in my box. My thoughts were that if Mego did splurge extra for the movie rights they would make a deluxe style larger box like they did for Wizard Of Oz. so this box follows the WOZ pattern and I use elastic string to keep him on the insert which when taken off reveals Jor-El.

That brings a tear to my eye it looks so good. I believe in the future when they get to CGIing a full person in a movie. Christopher Reeve will be chosen to represent the looks of Superman. There was no one I pictured as Superman but him. He may be dead but he had the perfect face for the Man of Steel and many artists were using his face to draw in comic books for awhile.

Every custom I have seen using that BK head has been awesome. And that packaging makes it even moreso.

Came home from work and I am messing with mine again... Black Knight really is a crazy talented genius of sorts. The head here is actually really and truly Reeve.
This head makes the thing perfect...

The head was made and painted by Black Knight
The suit I used came off of a DC retro
The body is a doc mego swivel arm

I normally dreadmill the neck plugs down and then wrap them in double stick tape
and pop them in.

Or i use rubber washers
Not a fan of glue-ing them in now you can't turn his head :(

Other than that - he looks great - That head is by far the best on the market
and when you put him in that box it looks like better than a store bought figure!
