    Newest custom... non toy

Here's a little something I've been working on since late summer. The first picture is the way it looked the day I brought it home (barn find). The last three pictures are from this morning. Mods feel free to move if necessary...

When you bought that thing, I had my doubts it could be saved... but that is one heckuva transformation.

^ you and me both. I still have a wonky coin mech to sort out. So now it's set to free vend.

I was completely envious when you posted pictures this summer, as this is the kind of thing I'd love to get my hands on some day. But these pictures? Wow! You've done an amazing job with this. Good luck on getting the coin mech sorted out. Glad to see you've kept it among the land of the living.

That came out great, everyone has a coke or pepsi one but Dr. Pepper stands out.

Simply stunning! Nice job! For the longest time, we had Be A Pepper bumper stickers on our family station wagon.

Thanks all. I'm very happy with how this turned out. Of course, it would have been nicer to be done in August when it was hot outside instead of the snow storm I woke up to this morning. ;-)

I would have said keep the wood grain, but seeing it now you made the right call. Way cool Boss

The funny thing is, the entire burgundy panel that says "I'm a Pepper" and the full burgundy door panel above it with the coin return are not what they seem. I wasn't happy with the new paint there, so I asked Bob (thatbatmanguy) if he could make giant decals for me to completely cover them. I figured somewhere down the road I could decal over them with wood grain if I wanted to.

Wow, These are the types of projects that marvel me. I love restoration! Great job.
I hear, coin mechs are a pain.
See it all the time on "American Restoration".
