Happy Thanksgiving -- As a customizer what are you thankful for?

I am thankful for David Lee, Gaga4toys and Russ Pittman for mentoring me on the art of molding and casting.

I am thankful for Mark at Eager Polymers in Chicago for his advice and support.

I am thankful for Hydrospan. Lord knows I am THANKFUL for HYDROSPAN!

I am thankful for Daremo for helping me develop and master the process I currently use for making suits.

I am thankful for Mrs. ScottA who is always there for me to sew up my suits.

I am thankful for Hawkmike who has been my partner in crime for the better part of 15 years and who never turns a project of mine down.

I am thankful for Next2LastMohican for making me head sculpts for figures I could have never made without him.

I am thankful for Scott Adams for being able to understand exactly what I want and create it so beautifully with Dida Displays.

I am thankful for BLeit, Legend of Link and PMWasson who put up with my "rush" orders and get such spectacular items to me so quickly.

I am thankful for Dr Mego and Classic TV Toys for continuing to push the envelope and never giving up on 8" Mego style figures and accessories. Just look at all the factory-made items we now have at our fingertips.

I am thankful for the patience of everybody who orders stuff from me. They know I own a business and have a family and understand I get to things just as quickly as I can.

And, mostly, I am thankful for my wife and children who have not had me committed to the mental health ward yet.

Please follow suit and post what or who you are thankful for this Thanksgiving Day.

    Peace, Love and Megos,

    Austin

First - well said by you 2 (Austin & TB)

I'm Thankful for my Mego collection!
Thankful that Mego made such an awesome line of figures that- here we all are 35-40 years later still talking about them and collecting them.
Thankful that Mego never finished the line and lead us out to the new hobby of custom figures!

Thankful my Mom and Grandma Grace made my first custom suits.
Thankful for Hawk Mike Barrett and Brian Leitner for taking over after them.

Thankful for Matt Jay Cox who made most of my early custom heads.
Thankful to Austin for selling me heads and to Dave Mc for painting them. And Thankful for Jason Roberts Black Knight for all the rest.

Thankful For Dave Mc - pointing me here to the MM where I meet so many new friends!
Thankful to Doc Mego and CTV/Figures inc for making parts so we can make custom figures.

Thanks to lasermego for my stickers! and some guy BOB from the internet for the rest!

Thankful for Anthony at Toyroom for making most of my boxes and cards - and Mego 73 for the rest
Thankful for all the MODS here at the MM who keep this place up and running so we have a great site to check out every day and night - especially Steve who answers any questions I have or points me in the right direction.

To all the customizers - who keep this hobby fresh and new - who inspire us to make more figures or just to give us the warm mego glow in our hearts.
thankful for the same group who made me figures through the years - true highlight pieces of my collection Black Knight, Boss Art, Random Axe, Mego Spidy. oh and type 3 for my hob goblin.

Thanks to all the friends I made here at the MM that I talk to via phone or email - you guys make the hobby great!

Thanks for my side-kick Vinman - I would never have been a true Hero without one

Thanks to my wife and family for not busting balls about the hobby

I am thankful for EACH and EVERY one of you, the customizing community. Without this community, we would all be making dolls on our own with no one to give us feedback, no one to praise our work, no one to show anything off to. God knows, our family and friends think we are weird for what we do (they are polite about it, but they still think we are weird).

So, Happy Thanksgiving to the best group in the world. Mego Customizers!!!

Heck, I’m Canadian and my Thanksgiving was last month but here goes….

I’m thankful for Austin. Without him, I wouldn’t be exageratting to say that 80% of my customs would not have happened. Austin has shrunk & enlarged heads by special order for me for years and I’d consider myself a “regular” customer of his by now. Always a cool guy.

I’m thankful for Theressa, who clothed my three favorite customs I’ve ever made (GI Joe Adventure Team Cmdr, Pulsar & Steve Austin). She is the best!

I’m thankful for Paul’s Laser Mego. Besides the awesome stickers he provides, he helped me finish off my Oscar Goldman office by making an incredible desk. And not only did he agree to take on the project, he ran with it and added sound. He also supplied the booth for my Arnold’s Diner. A joy to deal with.

I’m thankful for Scott for his amazing Dida Displays. Seeing my boys open a Hall of Justice & Hall of Doom that I made myself was truly a memoy I won’t forget.

I’m thankful for Figures Toy Company for bringing me soooo much to get excited about this year. For bringing back WGSH the way I remember them and also bringing back several other lines to add to the excitement.

I’m thankful for Paul’s Dr Mego site for continuing to supply excellent service to us collectors and putting out a top quality product.

I’m thankful to Castaway and Zica for FINALLY bringing back Action Jackson. I’m thankful to have been given the opportunity to be part of the rebirth of AJ through kick starter. Both guys are awesome guys to deal with and the new 8 inch superstore is something else to be thankful for.

I’m thankful for Biff Bang Pow for not giving up on the Six Million Dollar Man line despite delays. This is a line I really want to see continue and I’m glad to know I will “eventually” get my Barney Hiller and Mr X Robot.

I’m thankful for all of you guys…..Hector for posting about Boxing…..for Jason (BK) for his awesome scuplts and famous poses….for Hardygirl, Mego73, and too many to name for just being positive influences on the community.

Lastly, I’m thankful for the Mego Museum itself and it’s moderators. Somewhere along the line, years ago, this website became part of my daily life. I check in here throughout the day, every day…..except maybe Christmas. I’ve grown to think of many of you as my friends and neighbors from around the globe. These guys do such a great job keeping this place fun. Thanks for everything.

To all my American neighbors down south…..Happy Thanksgiving, eh!

First and foremost, my wonderful wife Chrissy. As much as she teases me about this hobby, truth is, she totally supports it.
The MM, because it really started here for me.
Garyplayswithdolls, for showing me, (in my first transaction) how great so many MM sellers are.
Every MM seller I've transacted with here, You people are of a high standard.
Thunderbolt, for always being there with great criticism and advice.
Dr Mego, CTVT, LaserMego, The_Toyroom, BrianL. and all the other creators of custom reMegos and supplies.
Mego-Eat, and the great friends I've made there.
My brother Darin, for keeping me on track, as we build our business on ebay.
There is no way I could think up a complete list. I didn't even try.
            Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

I'm thankful for all who participate in making cool figures. It's always a highlight to the day when I check the customs section and see something cool. The talent on display always makes me smile.

Even though I don't do that much customizing, (more like kitbashing), I'm thankful there are online Mego-like parts stores online like Doc Mego and CTVT (yes, even them), so I can keep the Mego-goodness alive w/ the kids I know. I'm also thankful for Dida Displays and Laser Mego so I can have playsets and furniture w/ my Megos, like the Batcave, Hall Of Justice, and and POTA Council chambers.

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

First,i'm thankful for discovering the Mego Museum.Soon after that i discovered the Custom Mego section.I dont remember "customizing" figures as a kid other than swapping clothes and different accessories out. That was really the only resource i had at the time.

Today thats a totally different story. The resources available are unbelieveable,Cast a Way,Zica,FTC,DrMego and all the customizer members here. From bodies, heads, clothes, emblems, boxes, cards, playsets, displays and accessories, you're really unlimited in what you can do.
                  I'm thankful for this.

I'm thankful for all the individual customizers that display their customs here.I enjoy seeing all the diversity of customs shown and the different styles and approaches to how each one is done.

I'm thankful for all the tutorials, questions answered, advice, praise and constructive critisism. They have all helped me.

I'm thankful for discovering this fun hobby.
