Custom of the Week - 11/11/2013 - Commander Straker from UFO

[EMCE Hammer]

This week the spotlight falls on palitoy's Commander Straker. Like Joe Cocker, he gets by with a little help from his friends to bring this cool character to life. Until recently, Mr. Heiler had been on a long hiatus from making custom figures. He's made a nice comeback of late; between his Project Mantooth figures, his tribute to AHI parachutists, and the occasional monster he's starting to build a nice little stable. I've seen some current works-in-progress, and more fun is on the horizon.

I really like this figure and I have no idea who it is. The overall package is terrific as well, nice presentation. You know that head reminds me an awful lot of the 12-inch Battlestar Galactica figure from 1979(?), you know the one with the completely innacurate costume and light up gun that broke if you sneezed around it.
