    3.75 custom Mego Star Trek

Hello, I have been working on Star Trek figures using mostly Mego 3.75 inch heads with 2009 JJ Abrahms movie figure bodies. I always wanted to make these bit didn't have the nerve to bust open a 1979 Mego but this guy named Joey is selling some of these on eBay so I bought a Kirk on a custom card from him and repainted the eyes. Then I just went from there, so thanks to Joey for planting this space seed that started my now huge collection of these. You can see all of them on my Flickr link. Thanks

Great stuff! I don't know why there has never been a 3 3/4" Trek classic line, seems like it'd be popular.

I think Playmates announced plans in 2009 but their Abrams film figures had such bad head-sculpts they scrapped plans. I would love to see them in this scale.

To be fair I'd say some were spot on. I have no idea what happened with Captains Kirk and Pike though. Those were two completely different guys.

I did buy a bunch of them because they were on clearance. Looking at them again you are right. I only found Pike tho, not Kirk, and he looks like Kenner 1st release Han Solo Head.

I thought the heads playmates made were too small So I added the Mego heads and they look perfect scale IMO. Thanks for all the complements on my crew.

Looks great! This might be a first of its kind. You have cornered the market on STTMP 3 3/4" MEGO customizing.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

I always wished the original movie had stayed with TOS uniforms also these bodies have more articulation than TMP Pajama bodies.
