A little snippet regarding the John Byrne era Fantastic Four comic from Wikipedia:
Byrne’s post-X-Men body of work at Marvel includes his five-year run on Fantastic Four (#232–293, July 1981–August 1986), which is generally considered a "second golden age" for the title. Byrne said his goal was to "turn the clock back ... get back and see fresh what it was that made the book great at its inception". He made a number of changes during his tenure: The Thing was temporarily replaced as a member of the quartet by the She-Hulk, while the Thing had adventures in his own comic (also written by Byrne), and the Thing's longtime girlfriend Alicia Masters left him for his teammate the Human Torch; the Invisible Girl was developed into the most powerful member with her heightened control of her refined powers and the self-confident assertiveness to use it epitomized by her name change to the Invisible Woman; and headquarters the Baxter Building was destroyed and replaced with Four Freedoms Plaza. Byrne has cited multiple reasons for leaving the series, including “internal office politics” and that "it simply started to get old".
I have always liked the Fantastic Four in their John Byrne blue and white costumes the most and have been planning a set of these for years. Today, I am proud to present in public for the very first time my Custom Mego Fantastic Four.
Mr Fantastic is built on a Mego T2 body using an original Mego Mr F head, white gloves and white boots from www.drmego.com, suit and emblem by me.

Invisible Woman is made of parts cast entirely using clear resin. Her head is an enlargement from a 1995 action figure shown below and her body parts are all reproduction Mego Daisy Duke parts. Everything was molded and cast by yours truly.

The Thing uses an original Mego Thing head, a tall muscle body from www.drmego.com, the boots are Famous Covers Electro boots painted white, the suit designed by Daremo while the emblem was made by me.

The Human Torch is built on an original Mego T2 Human Torch body, I enlarged a head from a 1995 Human Torch action figure and the suit was designed by Daremo. Paints by yours truly.

And, the pizza day resistance, the Incredible She Hulk. I do not recall ever seeing a custom Mego of her made in her classic FF costume. But, this is by far my favorite version of the character. Built on a Mego female body, gloves and boots from www.drmego.com, suit by me, and I enlarged the head from a Marvel Legends She-Hulk and painted it all nice and pretty like.

Here is the full team assembled and ready for action

And, lastly a look at the Byrne inspired animated series of 1994.

I hope you enjoy my customs as much as I do, and as always, thanks for looking.
Peace, Love, and Megos,
Austin
