Star Trek bridge project part 2: Engineering and Environmental Stations

Well it's a start! Half of the bridge stations finished. Made it out of balsa wood, acrylic paint, finishing nails, styrene plastic, and transparencies for the middle panels, changed out the old top panels for newer "cosmos" photos I like. Not really going for 100% authentic, but what looks neat. I need to raise it above the captain's chair still onto a second level and make the nice red railings and steps. I have the left side stations (Uhura and Spock's) ready but not assembled so I should finish it mid week and hopefully whip up a turbo lift connector and try to get it all lit nicely and test some animation around these sets! This will be the main set of a stop motion Star Trek project I am doing, it was a small idea that is turning into a big big idea! I just ordered the 1:350 Enterprise withthe LED light kit and motorized nassels so I can use that for the exterior shots. I have written the first two part episode; I am stealing the sound effects, but the rest should be all mine...

I love the carpeting the crew put in the bridge!

Just kidding, that is an amazing job. Great attention to detail.
