Waldemar Daninsky aka El Hombre Lobo from "Assignment Terror"

Been fiddling with this for a while. Folks might remember the incredible custom Matt did here.

Matt based his figure on probably one of the best of Naschy's films and makeups. I chose the worst, mostly because Assignment Terror is not only the first Nachy film I've seen but the first horror movie I stayed up all night to watch.

Assignment Terror was ambitious but plagued by budget problems, so the big monster rally that was to have all the monsters battle while UFOs attacked was made smaller.

One of the biggest victims was Naschy's wolfman make up, some images from the film merely show him an abundance of hair, others with hair and some simple grease paint. I chose to at lease use the grease paint version.

I used a Space:1999 Balor figure as a base, noting that Naschy and Peter Bowles kind of looked alike. Sculpted the hair piece and fangs, I still need to swap the shirt for a blue one.

Here are my Drive In 70s monsters.

From what little I've seen of Naschy's films (thanks to your enthusiasm, Brian), I like his werewolf character quite a lot. It transcends the cheesy, chopped up films he's featured in. So I have to put him above Disco Drac and Shoebox Frank. Having said that, those three figures capture these characters perfectly! Well done!
