The Real Guardians of the Galaxy -- Wave 1
So this is my "summer of completion." My goal is to complete as many of my groups of super-heroes and super-villains as I possibly can because I am tired of looking at "holes" in my collection.
One of those "holes" has been the Guardians of the Galaxy. No, not the Guardians of the Galxy with the raccoon guy or the tree. I'm talking the real Guardians of the Galaxy led by Vance Astro. These guys:
I loved these guys back in the day. Cool names. Cool costumes. Just plain cool.
Well here is wave 1 of the REAL Guardians of the Galaxy:
Vance Astro is made on a Mego T2 body with hands painted blue. Head is a repro Mattel Lex Luthor with paints by me. Suit and emblem by yours truly.
Nikki is made on a Mego Zira body with hands painted gray. Head sculpted by Next2LastMohican and painted by me. Suit by me as well. Boots from an unknown source, trimmed down and painted by me.
Charlie 27 is built on a drmego.com muscle body. Head sculpted by Next2LastMohican painted by me. Another one of my suits. And, belt, anklets and bracelets by Legend of Link. All were 3D printed in solid red so I painted the 'C" white and placed custom-made yellow decals over all of the rivets. My favorite of the three, I must say he looks even better in person.

Still working on the remaining three: Martinex, Starhwak and Yondu. Keep checking back to see Wave 2 coming soon.
