    Nighthawk

Adjusting and redoing this character's back wings has been a challenge. Sometimes they are drawn as wings and sometimes they look like a cape.
So, I finally figured out away to keep Nighthawk's wings flat and bendable with fabric, craft foam and pipe cleaners.

For those who are not familiar with the Marvel character

There are so many variations of Nighthawk's costume through the years. I just combined a few things that appeared in a Defender's book. The bird crest on his chest always seemed to vary from artist to artist.
I'm still debating what to use for the tips on the top of his shoulder wings. There was some kind of laser or weapon. I want to put it on there. I decided against claws. There were some shots of him with smaller-like Wolverine claws but that didn't really do much.
CTVTs- Since they have invented the cheap thin vinyl colored gloves I have been going through my costumes and taking off the home made or "cuff gloves" and replacing them with their new gloves (only if it works.)

My pictures look kind of dingy not sure why. Probably because I chose to snap the shots near Dr. Strange's sanctum sanctorum front door. I'll take a better picture later on when I can figure out what to put on his wings for the points.

        Heee heeee!

That's fantastic! One of the problems with doing characters from Marvel and DC is dealing with stuff like the wings/cape/whatever; each artist puts their own spin on things, sometimes the idea isn't thought out so good in 3d to begin with, sometimes the inker messes them up.... but this is a great way to integrate a bunch of different iterations into one figure.

I've got a head and most of the parts I just need to put it all together.

              Nice custom.
