Ok, this one was kind of a sleeper fig...wasn't sure I could even pull it off so there was no real WIP thread, but there is a little here:

This figure is purely born out of my ability to 3D scan and 3d print.
I took the approach if I could pull off making his hair look right, and make that helmet print...then I was golden. Everything else was downhill.
Believe me, it took at least two months to get the helmet scanned, tweaked, rescan, then the tedious task of figuring out how to print it without it failing over and over.
A lot of material was wasted in the development of this helmet.
The boots were another new trick we figured out with the printer. We are able to cheat it and make them print hollow...but it's not a perfect cheat, but close. Ideally, I would want to mold and rotocast em I guess, but oh well.
My son found a batch of red material quite similar to real Mego capes.
Soon as I saw it, I said we had to get Leitner to build the suits cuz he has it down pat.
The CTVT body is strung a little tight - I tried a couple ways of restringing em, but I failed in each attempt...someday I will figure it out.
The helmet, boots, and hammer are all 3D prints. The head was a 3D print that I made a mold of and poured as resin. I did no clean up to the head, minor cleanup to helmet and hammer, but a ton of filing to the boots...they just did not print well for me.
Going back to my backer card days, i dusted off my artbrush and worked up the box graphics in a morning (running out of time to have my guy print em).
Didn't get to source my typical brown board as I prefer since it is mego-original, so white backer was used. meh. ok.
But the print is amazing quality.
Here's some eye candy - plus, I have last year's Mego Meet Flash fig from the auction as comparison.

oh yea, if you can guess how I did the blue buttons, you get a cookie.
Mego Meet attendees will not believe their eyes when I show em lol
