cardedghostrider.JPGghostriderhead.JPG I just finished carding my 60th Mego tonite. This was a fun one to make. His body is a vintage Klingon with black boots. His pants were custom made by the lady at the dry cleaners. His white T shirt and black jacket are from the Fonz. His head is a painted valve cover for the tire on a car. The rubber flames on his head and arms are from a Mc Donalds human torch figure. The chain is from a dust cap off my fuel truck. Custom card by me.

Just keep up doing what you like and believe in. I would have went with a smaller chain but who am I? Good job!More custom Mego madness on Facebook right here...

I was going to go with a smaller chain but it cost 5 dollars and I wanted a large double double from Tim Hortons. The chain I used was free. I am still learning this custom thingy. Trying to do it within a budget can be just as fun as making the actual figure. I see potential Mego parts everywhere now.Comment

If you're doing what Cosmicman said, great.
For example, if you said to yourself, "Mego wouldn't do a giant flame on his head, because they didn't do one for Torch". OK. That's a position. So a little context as to your process will help with repsonses.Comment

Understood, I am currently not trying to have the most totaly accurate finest expensive examples at this time. I am more about quantity. I want as many carded Megos as posible. As long as they look reasonably good and I did my best then I am happy. I will never sell these one off customs. I hope to leave them to my great grandchildren some day. Half the fun right now anyways is trying to build these customs for as little as posibile. The custom cards I make for example only cost me 1 dollar. I currently have 60 carded Megos and hope to reach some where near 100 by Christmas.Comment
