Well my son helped me along the way, but I probably got a bit carried away and now have to find a place to put this rather than the middle of his room. I had started over a year ago planning something for him to be the counter-point to my wife's dollhouse that lives in our daughter's room. Finally had enough time to go for it. Plus it was fun now that he is close to 8, for him to be the guiding force on where doors and windows should go and what color each floor should be. The decor of the batcave was all my idea, I must admit.
We got some wood from Lowes Hardware, some foam from Michaels Craft Store, and we decided to add an elevator. Top floor has a sliding wall to reveal the bat poles. Lots of fun!
