Game of Thrones Action Figures - Wave 5

I have been tinkering with these for a while, but "winter is coming"... and this Sunday, so is the premiere of Season 3 of HBO's "Game of Thrones"... so I figured I'd go ahead and post these.

The theme for Wave 5 is: the bada**es!

    Arya Stark

I think the original doll was a Breyer girl. I gave her a haircut and sewed her outfit, then dirtied her up with my wife's eye makeup. Her sword, Needle, is a modified CTVT pirate sword.

    Sandor Clegane - The Hound

I modified a Daniel Boone head to change the hairline and give him his burns. The suit is created out of some "no slip" fabric, but I think it has the right look for The Hound's studded armor. The various armor pieces are re-purposed from other CTVT Knight figures... except the gorget (the armor thing around his neck) which was scratch built.

The hound helm is actually a Lego accessory... it looks ok to display him with, but it is not in scale to be worn. Shawn and I were working on 3d printing something, but we hit a few snags. But I am determined to give Sandor a wearable hound helm, someday.

    Brienne of Tarth

Brienne is an acetone shrunk and repainted head of Space 1999 Sandra. Yes, she is supposed to be uglier than that... but I wanted her to still look feminine... especially since I put her on a Zica (male) body. That may make her a little too tall as well, but I really wanted her to be a hulking presence compared to my other female figures. The armor is mostly Frankensteined together from armor in the parts bin, and repainted to match the cool bronze armor she wears in the show.

Thanks for looking. And again... don't forget about the premiere on Sunday! Watch "Thrones", dvr "The Walking Dead", and we can geek out talking about it all on Monday!

Very cool! I think the Hound is a bit on the small side but still love it. Cant wait to see a helmet one day.
