punisher3.JPGpunisher4.JPG I just finsihed carding the Punisher. He is definitely a mixture of bits and ends. the body is from a retro mego Darkseid. His head is the fonz with a blacked out left eye. His boots were painted white as well as his hands. The cuffs on his wrist were cut out of a trashed Penguin coat. His belt is from a doll found at the Salvation Army for 50 cents. The guns are from GI Joe. The black body suit and decal are the work of David Lee.

I actually like this. Who is cooler than the Fonz? The black thing on his eye not so much, though.Check out ALL my customs at https://www.facebook.com/megowgshcustoms -
The eye patch was drawn on with a permanent marker to save money. I may try and figure something out in the future but for the overall look I think its not horrible. I am still learning as far as this custom thing goes. For an amateur I could have done much worse. I welcome critics actually as it helps me to get better at this hobby. Electa was carded last night, and I hope to have Ghost Rider, Namor and Dr. Strange added soon. I only have 8 spots left on my Mego wall before I have to start a 2nd wall. This hobby is the best as far as I am concerned.Comment

Never welcome a critic! I dig your figure, but the bubble is obscuring his name. Also not so sure I would have gone with pink for the card color of the guy with one of the highest body counts in the superhero world.
This is coming from someone who gave up trying to make visually appealing cards eons ago, so take it with a grain of salt.Comment

I drew the eye patch on the Fonz . I got Punisher and Nick Fury confused. It was a rookie mistake. the card was supposed to be purple but the ink in the printer is starting to run out. I actually like this card. As I stated earlier I am still new to to the custom thing so I will learn and hopefully get better as I make more of them. I welcome all comments as I consider everyone in here friends.Comment

Just for another .02. my first reaction to the card was "Perfect!" -- it's got that same Mego-y WTH? vibe that led to Batman having a hot pink card . . . and he's not exactly one of the least hard-core heroes, either.Comment

I did get a chuckle- highest body count.. pink card!
To the figure - I like the figure - I have been dumping the retro bodies - but they seem to be cool for some carded customs. Think I will hold onto them now.
But I think it came out well. I also love the fact that you made a custom - out of the parts you just had there - good use of them.
My only question is why is he on a dc card and not marvel?
also just a thought: in the past I changed the circles around on the card. Using both some marvel and dc pictures - this way it does not matter which universe they are from, and it keeps it mego-ie. If you want pm me and I can scan it for you. It has batman, spidy, capt, flash & iron man."Where Does He Get Those Wonderful Toys?"Comment

Again another rookie mistake putting the Punisher on a DC card. I simply use photo shop to remove the name of the hero or villian from a particular card that I think would match the character color wise and put in the new name. I should have used a Conan card etc to have the correct art work. Looking at my wall of Megos I notice I have done this with a few other Megos. I have Electra on a DC card, King pin on a DC card, Red Tornado on a Marvel card as well as Tarzan on a Marvel card. I still like them even if they are not politicaly correct.Comment

electra carded.JPG I added a David Lee Punisher decal to my carded version. Just above the bubble, I think it looks pretty cool.Comment
