Here comes Speed Racer... and his powerful Mach 5!

Speed Racer has been on my custom todo list for a long time. But when I found the in-scale car, he jumped to the top of the list.










Speed's head is a CTVT Clark. Sewing by me. Decals by Lasermego Paul.

Mach 5 is a Hot Wheels Big Sounds Mach 5 with the innards (including sound feature) gutted to make room for seating.

I'm still trying to score one of these for a Speed Racer Custom. My other stumbling block is trying to score a less detailed head in Mego scale. I really want to give the head the Anime feel with big eyes and big quaffed hair.
