Mego Popy "Bootleg"

I can't afford the real thing, so I thought I'd make my own. Body, body suit and gloves are from the good Doctor. Head, helmet, scarf, belt and boots are CTVT. The emblem is a Japanese crest I found online that I thought worked perfectly. Just printed it up on some "clear" label paper from Office Max. I wish it were a little more on the clear side. Not many of the Popy figures are "human" based other than Ken Owashi, but I didn't have too many options when it came to heads. So I like to think he's the pilot of a giant robot.

WOW! I like it! Especially that Japanese crest/sticker!

I was never into Japanese robots or anime (beyone Battle of the Planets), but this is something I think I might be looking further into.

Nice! Chest sticker is a great touch! I have been thinking of making a custom POPY Ultraman anyone know where I can get a repro Ultraman head?

Ultraman heads should be pretty easy to score off of eBay. From a Pez-like dispenser or other cheap toy.
