The Dynamic Duo - Batman & Robin the Teen Wonder

Well, I finally finished these figures! I have wanted to do these two since I returned to customizing a few years back. This is the Dynamic Duo from when I began reading Batman comics!

    Batman:
    Batman shadows.jpgBatman.jpg

Batman is a Doc Mego body with swivel arms and a new chest piece. I beefed up the legs and crotch just a tad. The head is from Andrew aka CrimsonGhost (Big thanks here, the reason I waited so long to make this figure is I needed the perfect head for him! This was it!!) I painted him, made the costume, boots are CAT. The gauntlets are modified from the new fist gloves by CTVT. The belt is from Mattel's Retro Action Batman.

    Robin:

I used a Mattel body (Aquaman) for Robin. I made the costume, modified a head and used CTVT shoes and CAT gauntlets. In the pics, you can see that I made the green tunic separate from the red tunic.

    Hope you like them!

Nice clean looking customs! That Robin is a great example of what Mattel might have put out.

Great figures. Love how you'd did Robin's tunic. just like Perez drew in in the Teen Titans in the 80s with the green unitard underneath. Very nice work.

Those are fantastic! The Mattel legs look really good on Robin.

Both look great, but I LOVE that Robin. Always a sucker for the "Teen Wonder" look, and you nailed it!
