    This ...is ....sparta!!!

    Back again,

Hopefully you guys saw my previous thread which has explained what I've been doing lately.
    But let's get started.

Look at what I've printed this time

All he needed was some clothing, spear, and a head.

I hope you enjoyed my newest creation
Thanks for looking and take it easy
    -Sean

Pretty spiffy, can't wait to see what you'll be doing with this tech. after a year or so. For now, I gotta say that's pretty darn cool.

looks good, is the texture always going to be an issue, or is it something that just needs refining?

It's just boils down to the printing quality setting and the printer.
Due to the crap printer , we'll have the ridges, but I feel like I have a handle on them at the moment till I know the printer inside out or until another printer is in my hands

Very cool. You'll never run out of bodies now!

One thing I did with 3D printed ABS is to dunk it in acetone for for a few seconds. It kind of "melts" the outside layer which obscures the ridges. Of course it also looses small details. I've also heard of people brushing on acetone to smooth out areas.

His is PLA and they say it doesn't work.
The printer has a manufacturer defect with its extruder.
The company is working to address it on all the machines they have sold, but I have not been contacted yet.
I have a guy sending me a mod he invented and it is doing great success for owns of the replicator2 printer....hopefully, we can start printing in high resolution as a result.
Once he gets his 3d sculpts done, they go right into the printer and then right to his workbench...
He has been sanding and using spot filler to smooth em out.
For me, if I get th e printer fixed and get high res prints, if there are still ridges after all that work, then I will mold anything I print and then tweak a resin copy...that will be much easier...at least it seems so.
Course, I don't wanna have to do a job twice either, so guess time will tell.

as it does now, it would be really cool to use for Syroco style statues

                      OK. I'm your newest fan!
I love how you broke down that CTVT's trident. I did the same for my Valkyrie. Those things make great spears!
