    Deathstroke!!!

Welp guys, I'm back at it, I have impressed myself once again.
On this very day, I've created the one and only Deathstroke
Funny story actually, a while back when I was just a novice at customizing, I attempted this guy and it was an utter failure to say the least. So being persistent, I tried again and he's DEFINITELY one of my favorites.

    Lets get this party started:

As some may know, I have the access to a 3d Printer. After becoming very familiar and comfortable, I wanted to stretch my horizons with it. As I've said before, I can't sculpt and I just wished for a way to express myself other then with clay, with the printer this is now possible.

So I found an app on my iPad that'll actually let me sculpt on a "clay" head and basically do whatever I want with it. My favorite thing about it is the undo button.

So here is the base head I used:

So with some work here's what I ended up with( note the printer doesn't print colors so I just colored it to get a mental image of what to expect when I'm painting)

So after 30 minutes I had a plastic head I was able to sand a little and paint and here's the end result.
Along with the head, the "belt pouches", swords and guns were also 3d printed and then painted.

I hope you guys enjoyed it was much as I do.
    Thanks for looking.
    -Sean

the texture left by the printer actually works for that figure. If you did others, you'd have to sand it down better. Neat stuff.

Looks good - I like what you did with his suit and gadgets.

I agree with Tbolt - the ridges left behind from the printer would need to be a little better with other heads.
but with the printer you get a great base - maybe just use a little bit of clay or sculpt over it just to cover the lines.

              well done

Thank you for the kind words guys its nice to see that people are enjoying my work as much as I am.

I do recognize the problem with the ridges and I know I need to fix it. Due to certain complications, I'm only able to print at the medium quality, if I could fix the issue, maybe the heads and other objects would turn out ALOT better. I'm trying multiple different techniques with sanding trying to rid future heads of the ridges. With my persistence, ill figure something out

I can promise my next guy will be ridge free

But for now I decided to add a belt. I like it but I feel it may be a little much. Let me know.

                  Fantastic. Definitely the future.
Wouldn't it be awesome someday to go to a site and design your custom head using a simple tool like the iPad one (including colors!) and then you click "order"

Very cool. I'm a huge tech geek, but I just love all the potential there is in 3d printing.

You are a pioneer! Thank you for trying this out and showing your work.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

You guys have no idea how cool it has been watching him sculpt in 3d and run the file thru the printer.
It's not perfect technology, but it is giving him tons of experience and neat results.
Not only is there a vision, but look how many different techniques are in play with just this one figure!
                              Love it
