    Here comes...the slime!

My original character...THE SLIME! His body is made up of a strange, alien slime that can assume different shapes and perform different fuctions. He can catch crooks with it, extinquish flames and fall from great distances. Secreting a snail trail, he can "skate" across pavement at great speeds. He can stretch and bend and bullets pass right through him. The only thing he can't be is normal. Justice is slippery.

I used a resin cast Human Torch head (I got from Tothiro) on a smaller FC body. I sewed the suit (my first one in a LOOOOONG time) and borrowed the boxers and belt from a FC. I yanked the "slime" off of one of my kids toys (that they had stopped play with!) Inspired by the head, I went with a more "mego-y" look for him.

I'm not a !00% on what his personality is like. Fun-loving and goofy seems too obvious. I think he realizes that he can do more good as a giant booger than he could as a normal human, but I also think he knows that there is no going back. I'm picturing a kind of sad guy, maybe. I don't know.

Thanks for looking and I LOVE to hear feedback!

That is pretty cool. Great back story too. I kinda like the "fun loving jokester" personallity idea. Seems like nowadays every character is trying to be darker than the last guy. They cant all be dark!

I totally agree. I was thinking about how comedians, a lot of times, are really depressed people. He's sort of a sad clown.

Cool stuff. I am now picturing a darkly comic montage of a suicidal The Slime... where he learns the hard way that bullets pass through him, he extinguishes flames, and can fall from great distances. In that last pic, he looks to be seriously contemplating jumping.

Thanks, I designed it and it was illustrated by Eryck Webb (a talented artist who will no longer speak to me). It is the logo for my (in progress superhero novel---MASKED PLANET) I was also thinking about getting it as a tattoo!

love all these original characters. The best part is that they are really original, and not Batman or Wolverine knockoffs. Fun stuff.

I saw a very obscure comic book hero the other day. I may make a custom of him just for kicks.
