The Beast (with some X-Men)

Through trials and many errors I have come across this new stuff that will literally wrap around a body and become like a second nature of skin/suit to the figure. It takes a bit of patience but it looks like a lot better when done. I call it "fur in a bag".....not back attachments and I don't have to clip it off the backing. It comes free and you can get it at a fabric store.

PM me if you want a little tutorial how to apply to a figure. It takes a bit of a trick.

Like it, but your Beast from several years ago is still one of my favorite customs. This does look nice and probably a lot easier than the other one to make.

Oh Man. With this new fur in a bag I could pump out dozens of Beast-like figures then before when I had to pain-stakingly glue one muscle at a time.

As to my nine hours to originally apply fur to my under an hour, I'm happy with the new stuff...

Except one takes 9 hours and the other takes under an hour. Awhile back I was telling someone (I think it was Steve Moore....is that guy dead or something)....about when I first attempted this beast figure thing. I went to band practice with blue fur stuck to my finger tips. I had to literally use rubbing alcohol because it was affecting my guitar playing. My band was like, "dude...we are not going to ask but why do you have blue fur stuck to your finger tips?" My drummer replied, "Because he was showing cookie monster a good time." LOL

Another thing to add. That Beast I just shown that was battling the Red Skull and what not. His fur is kind of coarse, brittle and hard. He can be difficult to maneuver or play with. I notice small chunks began to fall off through time. My new idea (see above) where he is soft and the fur wraps around all of the parts of his body and he can be move around, bent in various directions with no problems of fur falling off (please no sex jokes with that....I can just see it. )

Oh yeah, this idea is killer for Wolfman figures. My best pal Al Barret (he's on here somewhere and lives in Canada). I made him a Wolf man using brown fur, ripped up shirt and even his own jeans he gave me to sew up a pair miniature pants...)


Al Barret has one exactly like this but I had to do it without the blood. He's gets grossed out over things like that. (love ya Al! ***** )
