The Big Three! restored for X-mas 2012.

Way back when I started here, my younger brother, dug up his Type 2 Superman, Batman, and Robin out of mom's house. I stupidly told him I would use repro parts to get them looking nice again. Well it took repro parts and originals to complete this promise/project.

Superman: Head, body, and bodysuit are original Mego. Boots, cape, sticker and window box are repro.

Batman: Head, body, boots and bodysuit are original Mego. Cape, sticker, gloves, belt and window box are repro.

Robin: Head and body are original Mego. Tunic with cape, shorts, gloves, shoes, sticker, belt, and window box are repro.

    Original condition:
    Superman-head, body and bodysuit.
Batman-head, body, and boots. (Bodysuit not salvageable.)
Robin-head and body. (Tunic with cape, shorts and shoes, not salvageable.)

Robin had a cracked right forearm near the elbow. Purchased, Batman Mego with bodysuit and boots. repaired bodysuit and used body to replace Robin's body with elbow damage.

T-Bolt, you should have seen my brother walking out my door with them today. I so didn't want to give them up. The smile on his face glowed so bright. He took his childhood toys home looking like they never did before. He's waited three years, for me to come through on my promise, and never doubted for a moment that this day would come. Got to love family.

super rad. there's something cool about reviving your OWN figures. You've brought them back from a wounded state and now they look like new! well done. Makes me really miss my Batman and Robin megos I had as a kid!!! those are long long gone!!!

I hear you. All (and I had a lot of them) of my childhood Mego dolls have been lost to the ages. When I found out in the mid 90s how much these things were worth, I knew then, I would never be able to afford to replace them. :(
