Finally! Here's my Galileo 7 Shuttlecraft. It's made with a Dida Displaybox that was cut down on one side to achieve the basic shape. Lasermego provided the wings and landing skids, as well as an awesome navigation console with a groovey engraved clear plastic disk as shown in the episode. The console and chairs can bolt to the floor and the chairs even have seat belts so nothing goes flying around the cabin during flight. The nacelles are mailing tube with vending machine capsules on the end and a gently pulsating LED light system gives them life. On one side there is a flip down entry door, and on the other side the entire wall flips down so you can set things up and view the cabin. Carrying case handle naturally so you can take it to grandma's house with you.
If I did another one there's a couple things I'd change. The nacelle would be a bit shorter, it shouldn't stick out in the back that far. The floor needs some lighter art in in so it's not all so black. I'd try red LED lights instead of white (I thought I was going to paint inside the capsule but I didn't like the results) and I think I'd try a sliding door instead of flip down. It's more of an interpretation of the shuttlecraft rather than an accurate model. The dimensions of the Dida box prevented me from getting the proportions exactly right, but to me it's a very Mego take on it.
