Wow. I really didn't expect the fabric hood, to make such a difference. Now, I don't know what to think. Two versions, with and without? At this point, I'm starting to think that there really is no need for a better "Dr. Doom" Mego head beyond the FC version. If and when I get to casting, I may vary this design with my own sculpted hood. That said, I'm gonna go for other comic character heads. These heads (not mine, all the others) and you members here, make customizing Megos and Character Dolls, such a fun hobby. Thanks for all the help.Comment

More sweetness from the Toyroom. I changed the belt to a CTVT brown plastic belt, because the CTVT vinyl with buckle wouldn't hold a position. It just pulled out of the buckle too easy.

I agree with everyone's sentiment here, stay with a fabric hood whenever possible. I played with the idea of molding a hood for my Taskmaster for years before deciding to make it with spandex. It took a few tries but eventually it came out okay. That is a badass Doom figure and EXACTLY how I would have expected it to look on the pegs in 1979.I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.Comment

Everyone, thanks!
'madmarva': Two words: 'sillicone, rubber'. That's how close I am. :(
'Random Axe': I got two more FC Dr. Doom heads coming in the mail. (I have no desire to ever disassemble this custom figure in order to cast the head.) One will only be scupted for neck-plug attachment only, the other is for an attempt to sculpt the hood.
Disclaimer: Dr. Doom customs are expensive, and cost way too much money to make. This is not a cheap custom figure. :(Comment
