When Mattel canceled the Retro Action line, I was disappointed because Mattel had shown an affinity for the Challenge of the Superfriends with the DCUC toy line. I was hopeful the Retro line would last long enough to get a complete set of the Superfriends and Legion of Doom. Well I guess now I will have to make them myself.
Here are two members of the Legion of Doom I made: Bizarro and Scarecrow. Bizarro is a Doc Mego swivel arm body with a buff resin chest with Zica hands a modified head and Mattel Superman suit with new emblems for the chest & cape. Scarecrow is a Leitner head on a Mattel body with CTVT shoes. I made the costume and hat.
I am not very happy Bizarro's head, it is just not Bizarro enough. The costume is fine, but I am not a big fan of the Retro Action boots.
I am not happy with Scarecrow's hat, but overall I think it came out fine.
