Captain and Hawkman
Awesome job, they look great. Where did you find the Hawkman wings, and the Captain America shield? My custom of each are missing these items.Comment

Lemme see if I can give you a rundown on the recipes. There's a lotta different parts from a lotta different places. That's one of the reasons I tend to take so long doin a custom...
Captain America: Cast a Way body and hands, Cast a Way head repainted and added FC Cap wing accents, gauntlets are from a DC 9 Green Lantern, boots are CTVT primed and painted, costume is from Brian Leitner and the shield is from a Marvel Legends series 1 Cap.
Bucky: Lion Rock body, head was from Customslab (purchased several years ago and I wish i could find another one), hands are Cast a Way gun hand and regular hand, Thompson machine gun is from the Wal Mart 6" WW II movie Captain America, costume is from Brian Leitner and the boots are Doc Mego repro Conan boots primed and painted.
Nighthawk: Cast a way body, Next2lastmohican head, costume by Brian Leitner and Cast a Way boots.
Hawkman: Doc Mego swivel arm body, I think it was a Customslab head but I'm not sure, wings are from a Brightest day Hawkman, harness/chest straps are from a DC Direct 1st appearance Hawkman, belt and boots are from a retro action Superman, Doc Mego mace, shield is from the DC Direct Hawkman and Hawkgirl 2 pack and modified with above mentioned Wal Mart Cap shield straps and the costume is from Brian Leitner.
Green Lantern: Cast a Way body and hands, resin cast retro action Green Lantern head, ring is a DC 9 Green Lantern ring, belt is from Doc Mego, retro action Superman boots and Brian Leitner costume.
Flash: Doc Mego reg repro body, Toyfanatic head, Doc Mego helmet modified with different wing accents, Doc Mego Conan boots primed and painted with added wing accents, belt is from a retro action Black Manta and a Brian Leitner costume.
Shazam: Cast a Way body and hands, Brian Leitner head and coatume and retro action Shazam boots primed and painted.
I pretty much try to use Cast a Way bodies when possible and Brian Leitner costumes (the man sews a mean costume, 'nuff said). The chest emblems come from AA Designs (bobnjen on eBay).
I'm working on doing 3 waves of 5 figures per wave for the GA Justice Society. Wave 1 is Flash, Hawkman, Dr Fate, Green Lantern and Johnny Thunder. Wave 2 will be Spectre, Hourman, Sandman, Atom and Ma Hunkel Red Tornado. Wave 3 will be Wildcat, Starman, Dr Midnite Black Canary and Mr Terrific. I also have custom Teen Titans in the works AND a custom Sunfire. I usually try and keep several projects going at once.Last edited by Captain Awesome; Jun 10, '12, 8:14 PM.Courage is being scared to death but saddlin' up anyway. - John WayneComment

And btw, thanks for all the compliments everyone! I take a lot of pride (another reason it takes me so darn long) in my custom pieces and really appreciate the praise. Since I joined up here, I've seen A LOT of great custom work and it raises the bar for me. Keep up the great work everyone and I'll try and keep up!!!
