Silver Surfer Redo

I've done the Silver Surfer before, but I wasn't happy with the surfboard I made. A friend of mine owns a plastic company and helped me make a surfboard out of acrylic plastic. It actually turned out really well. I decided to paint the Doc Mego body silver, but I'm waiting for a silver suit from Brian Leitner to see which I like better. The head is a sanded down Retro Action Lex Luthor.

The silver paintjob isn't too bad, but I'd go with a suit too.

It would hide all of the visible joints, and make it more streamlined.

Excellent idea though.

And I am really digging that surfboard.

Boy that Luthor head sure looks like it has Mego roots. I love it. I think the determining factor on whether or not you like Brian's suit will be if you can match his silver to your silver.

I was thinking of just painting a figure for the Doom Patrol's Robotman, but seeing this reminds me that pivoting waist point needs to be covered. but great looking figure and board.

I have the very exact same thing sitting on a shelf. I went with the tight shiny suit and it didn't look right.
I used chrome finish for car models on the figure and recast his feet to become "boot feet" and he looks pretty sharp.
This is a brilliant idea!

This looks like a really nice SS custom (and that board is totally sick!), but I'll chime and agree that I think the figure needs a suit. Have you thought thought about going the pleather route that bleit1701 used on his Aquaman figure? That should look pretty good, escpecially if you painted it in silver or chrome...
