    Oni from"The Funny Little Woman"

Here's my latest Youkai and my latest Oni.He's based on illustrations from the children's story "The Funny Little Woman" by Arelene Mosel(based on a traditional Japanese folktale).I sculpted his big Oni head from Clay-stone and crayola air-dry clay. For his body I used a Light blue Castaway body which I sculpted over with crayola air-dry clay(all the Oni details). I made his grass/straw skirt from Jute twine. As usual I painted the entire figure with acrylic paints and sealed with Mod-Podge Adhesive Sealant.
