It's um...Super Lucy!

Because of work and other projects that have been demanding my time, I haven't been able to fit in a lot of customizing lately. I threw this together for a friend. It's Mattel/Barbie scale, but I thought some of the members here might get a kick out of her. Well, there is a repro Mego part used on her
This is based on an episode of "I Love Lucy" that guest-starred George Reeves. Lucy ends up throwing together a Superman costume for Little Ricky's birthday party, only to get stranded on a ledge and the real "Superman" has to save her.

That's actually what led to this one being made. I didn't even know about this episode until a buddy of mine and fanatical Superman collector showed me VHS tape. I mentioned what a good idea that would be, and my husband pointed out how easily I could make one. My buddy was so excited that I couldn't resist making one as a gift for him.

Awesome! According to Cindy, that was the most requested Lucy doll Mattel DIDN'T make. It does indeed seem a no-brainer with Mattel holding the Superman license. WB owns the Adventures of Superman lock-stock-and-barrel and George has no heirs that I know of. What's the hold up?
