I'm no expert, Vinny (and welcome aboard, BTW), but I know that a lot of folks will upload stuff to the User Gallery and then you should be able to select a direct link to the image from there and plug it into your post using the little square icon that has the yellow background, the mountains and the little box in the corner that looks kinda like a postage stamp.
Hope this helps. Took me a while to figure it out, too!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
I like to use photobucket and then copy the image code to a thread and voila! pictures!
Welcome aboard!

After just figuring this out this week, here are my suggestions:
1. Post your pictures to Photobucket, Flickr, Picasa, or a like service.
2. Once the pic is there, get the picture on screen in a medium resolution.
3. Right click on the picture and get the properties.
4. Highlight the URL for the picture and do a CTRL + C to copy
5. Come back to the forums and type your message. Put the cursor where you want the picture.
6. Click the yellow icon with the mountain above the text screen.
7. You may get a message in the info bar about "scripted windows." If you do, click on the info bar and allow them, then click on the mountain button again.
8. A screen will appear to type the URL. Delete everything out of it and then hit CTRL + V to paste the URL in the window.
9. Post your message. The pic you selected should be in the post.
Shout out to yet another Hoosier on the boards! From what part of our state do you hail, good sir?
