    Peter Parker and Batman Kitbashes

So, I had to take a break over the holidays on Mego stuff, what with so many gifts to pay for. But I finally had the funds to finish some fun stuff I had sitting around.

I finally was able to track down the parts of the first Removable Cowl Batman Mego I tried to build some 15 years ago. I had since reassembled a couple of batman variations, so I decided to go completely different with this one.

I removed the gauntlets of a DC Superheroes Batman, the line that gave birth to the present DC Classics line. I also pulled apart the torso and removed the utility belt. I added some velcro to allow it to be removable. The gauntlets make the forearms look a little long, but it works alright on a vintage body. I tried them on one of Doc's new bodies, and the length is really noticeable.

Doc Mego supplied the black removable cowl (and pretty much all the cloth pieces), the cape is from Castaways from a Phantom project I abandoned, and the logo is from Paul at Laser Mego.

The Peter Parker was inspired by the fact that I had a Spider man costume that was a little worse for wear. I thought it could be fun to put him in a dress shirt with the costume poking out from underneath. And then, digging through my costume spares, I found the green Ben Linus pants. A quick check confirmed they were the right color from the cover of Amazing Spiderman 39, and I was off to the races. I opened up the sleeves of a dress shirt that may have come from Classic TV Toys, and the chain bundle is from the leg of a Build A Figure Pitt figure.

Anyway, thought I'd share these two. I am still working on my Build a Zombie set, and am excited to debut my crawling half zombie ala The Walking Dead.

LOVE the Peter Parker. That version is on my plate to make...along with Green Goblin toting him around.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone.

I know Parker is missing the brown shoes, but I don't have a spare pair at the moment. I am now looking at tracking down a Famous Covers Goblin to complete the cover (mine went MIA in a move a few years back.)
