This is my ONLY custom ...so far. I work sllloooowwwwllllyyy.
When I originally thought about making him, I immediately thought 'Alien Yeti', but if we want to stay in the Star Trek universe, he works well as a Prehistoric Keeper. Like all races, I'm SURE the Keeper had prehistoric ancestors too...
Pose'in dangerously:

On the move:

Classic Think Man Rodin pose:
(or maybe he's contemplating that piece of hair he apparently shed)

Up close & personable:

Made from an original 1974 Mego Keeper. He already had rusty discolored joints, so I figured I'd cover 'em. I sewed the fake fur bits, leaving them loose so when I'm posing him I can move & cover joints (but I can glue them down at any time).
I antiqued some of the fur with thin artists acrylic blue paint, and sunk blue shadows on his head, because his face was a flat one color greyish.
Also, since the fabric edges were visible (uck!), I glued strands of loose fur around the edges with a sewing edge fray no more stuff.
That staff is a temporary one until I can find or a some gnarly bent wood staff (this one's just a flaking twig from my backyard with paint & baubles over it).
Almost every figure I have I want to Yeti-ize. I must hold back...
