Another Brick in the Shazam

I've wanted this since I was a young kid watching the Shazam/Isis hour... here's my Brick Mantooth as Jackson Bostwick Shazam kitbash. The only things I did were painting Brick's hair dark brown to be more like Jackson Bostwick's and cutting out a vinyl lightning bolt to replace the one that was missing from the original Mego suit I had in my parts bin. (Now that I look at it, it should be bigger!)

Box is Mike Rogers' amazing work.

The lunchbox is something a friend of mine put together years ago, and he got Jackson Bostwick's autograph for me.

Now I just need to figure out how to kitbash a Joanna Cameron and I'll be set.

Thanks, guys. It's amazing how great that Brick head is. It's kind of funny how excited I got as I was painting the hair... it really transforms him to Jackson Bostwick.

Now if I could only get off my rear and figure how whose head to use for a Prez custom.

A friend of mine who is a show promoter/entrepeneur type used to arrange signings with sci-fi and TV celebs, including the Star Wars guys. One of the guys he arranged signings with was Jackson Bostwick. He came up with the idea of doing a lunchbox that Bostwick could sign. Just a quick cheapie thing, basically, since it's just a plain metal lunch box with a label. I doubt he did more than a hundred.

At the same time, he had a licensing deal with the guy that did that famous Star Wars parody short Hardware Wars... he did a Hardware Wars lunchbox around the same time that sold (poorly) through Diamond Previews. He gave me the Bostwick one as a thanks for helping him out with the artwork.

I'm not even that huge a fan of Captain Marvel, but that piece looks really, really good! The colors are nice and vibrant and make the figure pop! Nice box, too!
