Reverse Flash

Here is my 'simple' custom of Professor Zoom the Reverse Flash! Pretty much all Cast A Way parts. I made resin copies of the bolts on a Mattel Flash head and glued them onto the CAW head. I painted the hands and head a lighter yellow to match the suit better. (it is not as noticeable of a color difference in person.) I used some red vinyl for the waist and arm lightning and added the chest emblem.

Dude, that's a great figure. Even though you claim to have mostly used Castaway parts, you finished it off with your own personal touches, and that's what customizing is all about. Yellow fabric is very difficult to photograph and almost never matches any painted parts. If you're having a hard time getting the chest emblem sticking all around, gently use a 3M glue stick under the points of the lightning and hold it in place for a while applying pressure.

This is an outstanding custom.

I have always liked the look of the Reverse Flash and have seen scores of customs. This one really hits the look of that character. Very well done! It's not the simplicity of execution that defines a custom so much as the proper resources utilized to realize the look. You made great choices for all the ideas utilized here. Great job!

I have that same head! What did you use to glue the wings on to it?
Did you have to grind the ears off of him first?

^^ I cut the ears off with an exacto knife and superglued the wings on. I used some mod podge to seal it up before and after I painted it. I hope as long as my kid's don't play with it, it will be fine!
