Ardath Bey...nothing says scary like a Fez!

Happy pre-Halloween! I have really been busy for the last few months but I've wanted to do this custom for years and finally got around to it. I put a lot of time into his head sculpt then had to rush everything else to post before Halloween.





I might be re-working the outfit, and I want to make a wrist plug to use type 2 hands on a type one arm. This might be a mego meet 2012 figure if I find the time to make a few extra.

Are you wanting the T1 arms in order to be skinnier for characters that are not buff superheroes?

Thanks everyone! As much as I'd like complete credit for the sculpt, I didn't do it from scratch, although it may have been easier. I started with a Sideshow Mummy figure I got at the last mego meet. I made a mold from that figure, then I made several castings pinching the mold in different ways to get a good thinner base. I then took off all the details and more or less started to re-sculpt everything. There really isn't any part I didn't change.

rche.... the type 1 body is a much better match for Karloff, it's so much thinner and has the square shoulders. I've always been a type 1 fan too. The one thing that would really improve them is to get rid of visible rivets. The plug going into the arm is thicker on a type 1 so to make a type 2 wrist work I plan to cut a plug off a type one hand and use it to replace the type 2 plug... super glue it in place then mold it, it should work.
