Custom of the Week - 9/19/2011

This week the spotlight falls on Mego Museum founder extraordinaire Scott Adams and his stupendulous Swan Station playset. The engineering, the art, the attention to detail.......all totally spot-on. I think this guy could be a professional someday.

For all the pics, go here:

For a video tour, visit the Island of Lost Megos:

And for giggles, have another look at that van - I love vans:

There is plenty more on the island to enjoy - look around while you're there and see for yourself the obvious love that went into all these projects.

You know, usually I approve of the custom of the week selections... but come on, let's pick a custom where the person put in some effort...

I can only echo the praises for this and all of Scott's work. I continue to be so impressed with how he brought back the 70's Mego playset! And improved on it!!!

...no? what do you mean? The design in the middle? That's the "Blast Door Map", a famous scene (among Lost fans) where a mysterious black light map was found painted on a slid down blast door that had trapped a character.

This is one of those situations where it feels like any superlative you come with feels woefully inadequate.

Having said that, that playset is stupendously amazing. I'm in awe!
