Today was a big day for me, I got to see the finished version of the TYPE 3 Spiderman figure done by John Farley, John lives about 30 minutes away from our toy store & about a month ago he brought in some of his figures to show me & my brother of all the figures John showed me I was most impressed by his Spiderman figure.

However I have to be honest I have always felt that Johns versions of the Marvel characters he has produced are very personal to him & he picks versions of the character that he likes as any good artist would & he makes his figure with a more muscular look than I prefer. I want to be very clear here I am in no way saying the figures are not done well everyone of the figures I have seen done by John features top notch workmanship & Johns sewing is among the best work being done on any custom today, but everyone has his own taste & I tend to like my figures a little more slimmer as thats how I remember my Megos there is no right or wrong but I know what I like & when I looked at Johns Romita version of Spiderman I knew that if I could convince him to switch to a slimmer version of his type 3 body the figure would be AMAZING.

My brother & I talked to John for about an hour in the store & he said he could do a more Ditko looking figure, we wanted the figure to have one web shooting hand & as posted in one of the other posts the eyes would have to be different as Ditkos version had a very spicific look, my brother also mentioned the webs under the arm & a spider tracer as options & I am convinced John will find away to get this done on any future figures. Anyway the figure I was able to see today left no doubt that John nailed it, I expected the 1st rate quality & workmanship but the figure is beyond that it has that unexplained feel that only happens when you see an artist has reached a new level, the type 2.5 body is wicked & the slim legs are a huge step forward in my opinion. ( I mean this in the very best way Johns posted pics of this figure do not do this figure justice) I have owned 37 Flatts & if I still had them this version of Spiderman would make the grade & stand on the same shelf ( I have never said this about any other figure) It is in my opinion the best work John has ever done & I am convinced if he continues to take input & risks & challenge himself the best is yet to come.

          THIS FIGURE ROCKS!

Oh. My. God. Son---you have gone and created the NEW Holy Grail of MEGOesque SPIDER-MAN figures. That is so dead-perfect,you ought to consider sending one to Stan the Man and Steve Ditko. I bet they would both love seeing their character so well-realized.

If, by chance, you ever decide to mass produce these (of even not mass-produce them) please let us know 'cause I'll be one of the first ones sending you money for it!!!

              Dude----you and this Spider-Man----ROCK!!!!

sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I hadn't read any of the text that accompanied these pics, but I thought I was seeing things different. I guess you did alter your body a bit. I thought it was just me. Absolutely flawless. I don't like Ditko and I don't much like Spider-Man. I, however, love this figure. I can only think of three more words appropriate for this unveiling.

                              "Eat it, Ahmed."
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.
