Custom of the Week - 8/15/2011

This week the spotlight falls on Jordiway's rendition of a 12" Mego style Shazam. This figure looks right at home next to Superman and makes me wish Mego had done more with their 12" line.

Bonus - Aquaman from the same line:

WOW! I never expected to get COTW, I cant remember the last time I seen a 12" figure get COTW. I got my first mego when I was 4, it was a 12" Superman and was the only mego I owned as a kid. I remember taking it to school everday in 1978, When I was 8, I ended up giving it to this kid who was younger than me and didnt have any toys and I mean none. So about 10 years ago I started thinking about that Superman and after some research it lead me here I didnt even know what a mego was until I found this place and even after that I was saying the name wrong it wasnt until I was in this thrift shop and this guy said its ME-GO not megO LOL. I pretty much only collect the 12" Heroes and there werent that many so I decided to make a few more. On a side note my boys love the D.C. retro line, I would just like to say thanks its a real honor to get COTW.
