I had this old Starfighter lying around. It was yellowed and incomplete, so I decided to do some "show accurate" style stickers, done in a sort of vintage style. I looked at the Monogram model, some reference shots of the shooting ship, and used online scans of original Star Wars vehicle stickers for inspiration of the "stylized" look.
Additionaly, I had no accessories for this, so I sent off original parts to be reproduced. The bottom wings, the guns, the thrusters and the landing gear are all reproduction parts.
I was really impressed how accurate to scale the vehicle is compared to the original model. It's too bad there are NO casting details at all - but when compared to one of the show models you can see how some basic stickers can enhance the detail of the ship.
I'm pretty happy with how it came out.
