Those are definitely insane to the membrane.I always like the Mego figures KISS line.
A friend of mine collects just about KISS anything. I think he has started to rub off on me a bit. Now I find myself collecting more KISS items than what I use to.
I gave him a set of the 12" figures. He was more than happy to say the least. Now it is if he worships me as a God.That really was not my intention.
I just wanted him to have them as a friend.
I can only hope that you make these available for sale to the public in the near future.Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009

Thank y'all for your kind words & reviews!
Sorry to say that I will not be reproducing these for sale, at least not anytime soon, time is just not permitting these days. (Another concern...I know the faces are trademarked, but I'm not sure about the outfits? My assumption would be "Yes", but who knows?) Also, I'm not sure how to make them durable enough to be removeable? It's something I'd need to figure out how to accomplish without compromising quality.
For the most part, these were fabricated directly on the doll in order to make them fit snugly. I think Gene's and most of Ace's (upper half) could possibly be carefully removed & replaced, but Paul & Pete (and Ace's legs/feet) are pretty much eternally bound.
I am grateful to know that there are some who believe these are worthy of reproduction, it means a great deal to me as this was indeed a labor of love. I got tired of waiting around for an "official" complete set of four in the 12" cloth format, so I decided to make my own.
MIB41 - Dynasty is where I intend to go next, however I have no idea when I might be able to get around to it? I have (most) of the figure pieces necessary, and some of the materials already gathered (including some really cool pre-corrugated silver fabric I can use for Ace's cape!) I'm also leaning toward doing what I did with this set...going standard line-up for Gene, Ace & Pete and picking an alternative for Paul. In this case, I'm thinking about the Unmasked outfit for Paul instead of the Dynasty version. Also thought about going with Gene's Dynasty prototype with the studded plates instead of the crumpled foil look.
Thanks again everyone!Last edited by Dark Shadow; Jul 13, '11, 4:29 PM.Comment
