Yeah, I owned a real one of those once when I weighed less than 200 lbs back in the 1990's. The buckles are functional-they were really cool!

I ALWAYS wanted to buy one back in the day.., but when I saw one a few years later, I thought it was too 'tan' in color, not dark enough as it should be..

More years later, they had the more authentic ones at the 20th anniversary, but the wife's words were..."it would be a hard sell with me"..

I'm sure you can get a seamstress to make you one. It's just a matter of getting the seams in the right places...and finding the correct clasps. It's basically just a jeans-jacket type of pattern. They probably sell those clasps in 1:1 scale somewhere if you really wanted a jacket like that. I wouldn't mind one for me to wear.

I've got a show accurate one. The suede is sweet. Luv yours .I would luv to own one for a custom BSG Apollo and Starbuck. You can usually find the clasps 1:1 on ebay.
